5 Medium slices bacon cut into large strips
1 Large onion, sliced
8 Large mushrooms sliced
2 Beef Oxo cubes dissolved into 1.5 pint boiling water
4 tsp Bisto gravy powder in a splash of cold water
25g Wholemeal flour to cover liver.
Pinch salt & pepper in flour

Here is how you make Liver and Bacon Casserole:

Toss the chopped liver into the seasoned flour and coat evenly,In a large frying pan spray 20 sprays of frylight,Put over a medium heat and fry the floured liver for about 5 mins,Add the onions until onions are transparent,Add the bacon and fry until starting to brown,Add the mushrooms and fry for a further 10 mins or until mushrooms start to soften,Transfer to a casserole dish ,Add the dissolved beef stock and place in a hot oven gas 6,for about 60 mins,Take from oven remove lid and add the gravy powder to thicken, place back in oven for a further 20 mins.Remove and serve immediately.Serve with mixed veg & potatoes.Number of Servings: 6Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user AUNTYT67.
