1 medium onion, chopped small
2 10 oz. bags of frozen peas and carrots
2 clove garlic, peeled and pressed
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tbs. prepared mustard
1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. paprika

Topping
6 medium red potatoes, steamed and mashed
1/2 cup 1% milk
3 Tbs. unsalted butter

Here is how you make Shepherd's or Cottage pie made in the slow cooker!:

Trim fat from beef or lamb and brown meat on all sides in a non-stick skillet. Place roast in bottom of slow cooker and top with onion, garlic, ketchup, stock, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and paprika. Cook on low for 6 hours, or until meat is cooked tender and comes apart, add the peas and carrots the last hour of cooking.When the meat and vegetables are done, steam and mash the potatoes. Add the milk and butter to the potatoes and whip until blended. Put the meat and vegetables in a 9X13 casserole dish, and cover with the mashed potatoes.
