Here is how you make Blackeye Pea Stew:

~Soak peas according to package directions. Place in crockpot.~Add onion, tomatoes, chili sauce, pepper, broth & water. Stir well.~Cook on high for 1-2 hours and then turn down to low. ~After about 6 hours (total) add green pepper, ham and rice, stirring well. ~Cook for another 2-4 hours.
