Preheat your oven to 400?. Spray your pan. A baking spray that uses flour is best. I use a pan that has 9 squares.Mix dry ingredients in a bowl until blended. Mix wet ingredients until well blended.Mix wet and dry together using a rubber spatula. When well blended and then spoon into greased pan. Each section should be about 1/3 to 1/2 full. Even out top.Bake at 400 for 12 minutes. Cool on cooling rack. You can add the optional ingredients to make a cheesy, garlic biscuit like Red Lobster.
