How Do I Make Apple Waffles (Vegan)?

Here is how you make Apple Waffles (Vegan):

DirectionsPreheat waffle iron.Sift together the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. In a medium bowl, mix together all the wet ingredients (including sugar) until well combined. Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and slowly blend in the wet ingredients until combined. Fold in the grated apple.Make your waffles according to manufacturers directions. I use a belgian waffle iron and 1 cup of batter per waffle works for me, but you should consult your directions. For crispier waffles, let cook 30 seconds to a minute longer than the directions suggest. **************************************************************** ***Note, I usually add a bit more apple since I LOVE having apple bits in my waffles***Nikki's Additional Note: I was able to get 5 really big (8 to 10 inch) waffles using a cup of batter each. However, if you have a small waffle iron, I'm sure you can get more than 5. I know that these pack a calorie (and sodium) punch, but one of these kept me full until past lunch and took me through a pretty rough workout. Hope this helps! I'm positive that there is a way to cut down the sodium by substituting different ingredients. Hopefully, I'll have some time to try that. Good luck!Number of Servings: 5Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user CUPCAKERANGER.
