Make sure to grind up all of the nuts and 1 and 1/2 cup of oats. Then, place these on a jelly roll pan and broil, on low, to begin toasting them. Now, mix all of the wet ingredients together in a small sauce pan and heat until they combine. (Hint: They don't ever really seem to mix completely together, but heating them certainly helps!)Once the dry ingredients have toasted a bit (5-10 min), reduce heat to bake at 325 or 350 degrees (my oven runs hot so I use 325).Mix the wet and dry ingredients together (this can be done in the bowl or the pan).Cook for about 40 minutes (it can take anywhere from 30 to 50) in the middle to upper third of your oven, checking and stirring every 10 mins.(To really crisp up the granola, you may need to separate the batch into two separate pans for a final 10 minutes of baking.)Once the granola has baked AND cooled completely, add in 2 cups of craisins.Serving Size: Makes 28, 1/2 cup servings.Number of Servings: 28Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user THRDTRY.What's The Nutritional Info For Nutty, Low-Cal Granola? The nutritional information for Nutty, Low-Cal Granola is:
