What Are The Ingredients For Green Huevos Recipe?The ingredients for Green Huevos are: 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1/2 red onion, chopped 2 clove Garlic, chopped 1 tbsp Cumin .5 tbsp Chili powder 1 jar Salsa Verde (I prefer the Trader Joe's Salsa Verde) 1 can (14.5 ounces) black beans 1 tsp Tabasco Sauce 3 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw 1.5 oz Cheese- Med Cheddar Cheese Tillamook, shredded 3 serving Mission Flour Tortillas, Soft Taco, 8 inch How Do I Make Green Huevos?Here is how you make Green Huevos: Wrap tortillas in aluminum foil and place in a low oven (approx 300 degrees).Put Olive oil in a large frying pan, with a lid. Once hot, put onions in the pan. cook until onions are translucent. Place garlic, cumin and chili powder in the pan. Cook 1-2 minutes. Pour green salsa and beans (including liquid) into the pan. Cover with lid and cook over low-medium heat for 5-10 minutes. Stir as needed.One at a time, crack egg into a small bowl. Create a small dent in the bean/salsa mixture and slide the egg into the indentation. Repeat with 2 additional eggs. Place lid on pan and keep over low heat. Watch closely as eggs poach. Once egg whites have cooked sprinkle cheese over them and replace lid on the pan. Cook until eggs are poached as much as you like (soft yolk, hard yolk). Place one tortilla on a plate. Coat tortilla with 1 egg and 1/3 of bean/salsa mixture. Serve warm.
