I adapted this recipe from hungry girl - this is the basic oatmeal, no sweeteners, flavors or fruit. I use Trader Joe's Quick Cook Steel Cut Oats. It's pretty bland but I make the big batch then add in whatever I feel like having in the morning. This makes the portion actually bigger then 1 cup, but since it's water it's not adding additional calories.
