Here is how you make Baked Oatmeal, Wisconsin-Style:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter a 1 ? qt. casserole. Bring water to a boil, stir in the oats. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5-7 minutes, till most of the water is absorbed. In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs. In another small bowl, combine the brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Stir into the oatmeal. Fold the egg mixture into the oatmeal, pour into the casserole. Bake for 30-40 minutes, till the center is set and a sugar crust forms on top. Cool 30 mins.
