Mix well, but do not over mix. Fold in the chopped apple. I use Granny Smith because they are lower in sugar and the tart apple makes a difference in the taste, but you can use whatever kind of apple you enjoy. Sprinkle with cinnamon and wheat germ, and prepare to ooh and aahhh throughout your meal :o) It is a creamy, sweet, tart, silky and truly delicious custard.
