Prep time of actual work is less than an hour, but if you let the rolls rise, refrigerate the dough, etc. it takes at least two hours.Scald 1/3 c. milk. Set aside to cool.Soften 1 pkg. (or 1 Tbs) dry yeast in warm water according to package directions.Sift together in mixing bowl: 2 1/4 c. flour, 2 Tbs sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp saltCut in 1/3 c. butter (margarine) with pastry blender.Stir in: milk, 1 egg, and softened yeast. Beat well.Dough may be chilled (covered) or stored a day in refrigerator before shaping. This develops a more yeast-roll texture. To make rolls: Roll dough on well-floured surface, to 15x10 inches.Cream: 1/3 c. butter and 3/4 c. brown sugar until fluffy. Spread half of mixture over dough, sprinkle with some of the chopped pecans. Roll up. Cut in one-inch slices, place on greased cookie sheets (parchment paper is great) and press down to flatten.
