additional half and half or milk (about 1 Tbsp.)

Here is how you make Lavender Scones:

Heat oven to 400 degrees F.Mix flour, 1 Tbsp. sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or knife until mixture looks like fine crumbs. Stir in egg, lavender, simple syrup, and half and half -- add just enough liquid so dough leaves side of bowl, add up to 2 more Tbsp. half and half if needed.Place dough on lightly floured surface and knead lightly 10 times. Form into 8-inch circle on ungreased cookie sheet. Cut into 8 wedges with sharp knife dipped in flour, but do not separate wedges. Brush lightly with half and half or milk; sprinkle with sugar.Bake 14-16 minutes until golden.
