How Do I Make Turkey Bacon Jam?

Here is how you make Turkey Bacon Jam:

Sautee the onions and garlic in the 1 tbsp butter until translucent. Set aside. Cook turkey bacon until slightly browned. Cut into 1 inch pieces using kitchen shears (I cheated and cut the bacon before I cooked it). Add the bacon, onion, and garlic to a heavy bottomed cast iron or stainless steel pot. Add the rest of the ingredients. You can add tabasco for heat if you want, but remember that's not accounted for in the calorie count. Add 1 cup water. Simmer for 2 hours, checking every half hour and adding water in 1/4 c. increments if necessary. After 2 hours and it being reduced, let it sit 30 minutes then run it through the food processor.
