Preheat oven to 350 deg. F. Grease and flour two 6" round cake pans or one 9" round cake pan. Combine dry ingredients in bowl; whisk till smooth. Combine wet ingredients and pour into dry ingredients; beat at medium speed for 2 minutes with electric mixer. Pour batter evenly into cake pans and bake on center rack of oven for 25-30 minutes, till pick inserted in center comes back clean.
