Here is how you make Grandma's Applesauce Cookies:

In a large bowl, cream together butter, sugar and egg. In another bowl, mix together the applesauce, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Add this mixture to the creamed butter mixture. Then add in the flour and baking soda.Let batter rest in a cool place for awhile. Drop by spoonfuls on to a greased cookie sheet.
