I made 60 cookies with this recipe (1heaping teaspoon of dough for a cookie)* Preheat oven to 350 degrees* In a mixing bowl, blend shortening, sugar and brown sugar with a mixer at low speed until creamy* Continue mixing, add eggs (beaten), vanilla and milk* In another bowl, cut together cocoa, baking soda, salt* Slowly add the dry mixture to the rest of the batter, continue mixing until smooth* Remove mixer, and by hand, fold in chocolate chips and walnuts. * On an ungreased cookie sheet, drop 1 heaping teaspoonful per cookie* Cook each cookie batch for 8-10 minutes* Cookies may appear moist when removed from oven, but will firm up slightly upon cooling.
