2 sticks salted butter
2 sticks smart balance 50/50 butter
2.5 C whole wheat flour

Here is how you make Butter Spice Cookies:

Preheat the oven to 325. Combine the cake mix and the flours in a large bowl. Microwave 2 sticks of butter until almost melted. Cut the remaining butter into slices and stir into the melted butter. Microwave for a few more seconds until creamy and pourable but not completely melted. Cool briefly then add to the dry mix. Mix well.Turn out onto a floured surface and roll and cut. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly on the pan then remove to a cookie rack.(I used a small - 1" leaf-shaped cookie cutter and got about 100 out of the one batch. This recipe works very well with any flavor cake mix.
