Mix butter, cream cheese, vanilla and sugar. Add flour. Roll into little balls (mine were about 1/2 in) and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press thumb into top of balls. Place a little bit of jam in the thumbprint. Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes (my cookies were very small, larger cookies will need to be cooked longer). Cookies should be golden brown on the bottom (tops will not be brown).
