*Anise Oil Extract, 12 tsp
*Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched, 4 cup
*Baking Powder, 2 tsp
*Baking Soda, .5 tsp


Icing

*Confectioners Sugar, 2 cup
Milk, 2%, 1.500 fl oz*
Anise Extract, 2 tsp
*Nonpareils (1.4 oz), 1 serving


How Do I Make Anise Cookies?

Here is how you make Anise Cookies:

melt shortening and butter and cool. Mix eggs, and anise. Blend in shortening mixture, add flowr, baking pweder , and soda , Mix well until it forms a soft dough. Dough wil be easier to work with when cool. I place in it fridge for an hour or so Place rounded teaspoon spoonfuls on cookie sheet . Bake at 350. for 15-20 minutes. cool on racks. icing : mix confectioners sugar , milk and anise extract to form desired consistency drizzle on cookies and sprinkle with nonpareils.Serving Size: makes 65 cookies give or take one or two depending on how big you make the cookies.Number of Servings: 65Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user TMGSGIRL.
