Here is how you make Old Fashion Baked Beans:

Makes 12, 1/2 cup serviigs. Soak beans overnight in cold water. Next day add 1 quart of water and simmer for 30 minutes. To beans and water add all other ingredients and put into a large cassrolle. Add enough water to cover. Arrange bacon slices on top and bake at 250 F. for 4 - 7 hours. At end of 4 hours remove one cup of beans and mash and then stir back into mixutre carefully. Cover and continue baking. Add more water several times to keep beans just covered.
