Cook the pasta (I like the ribbed penne pasta - smaller pieces for my son, & the ribbed sides hold the sauce better!) until it is al dente; drain.Mix the tomato sauce & the ricotta cheese (I just use the same pot I cooked the pasta in - less clean up!); add the cooked pasta and blend.Add 5-6 oz of the shredded mozzarella cheese - mix well. Pour into a lightly greased 8 1/2 x 11 pan.
