1 medium ripe tomatoes, chopped

1 large egg

1 cup original breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon dry parsley flakes

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

2 dashes of pepper

2 tablespoons of canola oil for frying (or you can skip this part and grill the patties)

Here is how you make Black Bean Patties:

Combine drained beans, carrots, tomato and egg in a food processor and process until well blended. You want the mixture to be smooth, but have a bit of chunks still.Transfer the mixture into a bowl, add in seasonings and breadcrumbs. Combine everything and divide into 6 portions. Make patties out of each portion. In a large skillet heat oil over medium/high heat. Add in patties and cook about 5 minutes per side or until they form a crunchy outside.
