What Are The Ingredients For Veggie Sausage and White Bean Ragu Recipe?The ingredients for Veggie Sausage and White Bean Ragu are: 2 tsp EVOO1/2 onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, diced or pressed 1 Yves Smart Ones vegeterian italian-style 'sausage', diced 1 cup (2/3 can) great northern beans, drained and rinsed 1 can diced tomatoes w/ italian herbs, undrained 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes, to taste 6 oz elbow macaroni How Do I Make Veggie Sausage and White Bean Ragu?Here is how you make Veggie Sausage and White Bean Ragu: saute onions in olive oil over medium heat until soft, approx 5-10 minutes. Add garlic, saute for 2 more minutes. Add 'sausage' to onion mixture, saute for 1 minute. Add beans, tomatoes and crushed red pepper, cover and simmer on low 10 minutes. It's ok if beans and sausage started to crumble further. Add either tomato juice (V8) or pasta cooking water to thin as desired (although won't need much if you cover and don't over-simmer the sauce). Cook pasta in heavily salted water, ommitting fat. Once drained, combine with sauce. Top w/ parm if desired. Makes 4 servings.
