Here is how you make Mom's Beef Stew - crockpot:

Spray olive oil, 0 calories non-stick, on pan & brown beef. Transfer to a crock pot and add one onion (I leave it whole for the flavor but remove it before eating because I can't handle onion pieces). Add chopped potatoes, carrots, and rutabaga. Dissolve no sodium beef bouillon in one cup of boiling water. Add to rest of stew with the spices and add an additional 3 cups of water. Cook on high for 4 - 5 hours until vegetables are tender.
