3/4 cup warm water (105 to 115 degrees F)
3 cups all-purpose unbleached flour (white and ultragrain mix)


How Do I Make Basic White Bread?

Here is how you make Basic White Bread:

1. Mix 3/4 cup warm water with yeast in mixer bowl.2. Place sugar, salt and butter in a microwave save dish and heat in microwave for 20 seconds, if not melted heat a little longer. After heating whisk it with a small whisk or stir real good with a spoon to help sugar and salt dissolve and somewhat melt into the butter.3. Add milk and stir real good. Then pour mixture into mixer bowl with yeast mixture. Stir combined mixture. 4. Add 2-1/2 cups of flour to mixture and stir with a wooden or hard plastic spoon. Once it starts to mix fairly good, put kneading hook on mixer and mix for 2 minutes. If your mixer does not have a kneading hook, you will need to knead the dough by hand for 2 minutes.5. Place dough in a greased (preferably butter) bowl, then flip dough over so that both sides have butter. Let stand covered with a towel or paper towel for 10 minutes.6. Put extra flour on wax paper or area that you are going to knead the dough on and knead dough again for about 5 minutes.7. Form dough into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan. Let stand, covered with a towel for 45 minutes to 1 hour.8. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Once oven is preheated place loaf pan of dough in oven and cook for 30 minutes.Dinner Roll Version:Follow steps above, but instead of a loaf pan use a cookie sheet and separate dough into 10 small balls of dough and place on cookie sheet.
