What Are The Ingredients For Masala Chicken Pie Recipe?The ingredients for Masala Chicken Pie are: 2 tbsp olive oil4 chicken breasts 2 onions, chopped 3 garlic cloves, minced 2 tbsp medium curry powder finger length piece of garlic, grated 2 tsp coriander 2 tsp ground cumin 2 tsp brown or black mustard seeds 2 tsp red or white wine vinegar 2 tsp brown sugar 2 x 400g can chopped tomatoes 300ml light coconut milk 1 large red pepper chopped 1 large green pepper chopped 1.5kg floury potatoes 1 tsp tumeric juice of 1 lemon How Do I Make Masala Chicken Pie?Here is how you make Masala Chicken Pie: 1- Heat a deep frying pan, or flameproof casserole dish and add 2 tsp of the oil. Brown the chicken breasts quickly but well on both sides and then remove to a plate. 2- Turn down the heat and add the remaining oil, garlic, onions and ginger. Fry gently until soft. 3-Add spices and cook for a few minutes, stirring regularly. 4-Stir in the vinegar, sugar tomatoes and 150ml of the coconut milk. Bring to a simmer and bubble for 10 mins. 5-Roughly chop the chicken and stir into the pan with any juices and the peppers. Simmer for 20mins. Season to taste. 6- Whilst the chicken is cooking, chop the potatoes and place into a pan of boiling water. Leave for 10-15 mins until the potatoes are soft. Drain well, and then tip back into the pan so they can steam-dry for a few moments. 7-Add the remaining coconut milk and tumeric to pan, and mash well. Season with the lemon juice and some salt. 8-Spoon chicken into a baking dish. Dollop on mash to cover, then cook at 200C/Gas Mark 6/400F for 35-30 mins.
