Cook onion, garlic and ginger in covered skillet with sherry about 5 minutes. Add spices and let cook uncovered another 5 minutes. Add sweet potatoes, apricots, salt and water, and cook covered until tender, about 15 minutes. Add raisins and chickpeas and toss. Cook until warm.
