What Are The Ingredients For Spicy Beef n'Beans Chili Recipe? The ingredients for Spicy Beef n'Beans Chili are: 1 lb ground beef, extra lean28 oz can tomatoes, diced or petite diced 12 oz can of tomatoes with green chilies 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped 1 med to large yellow onion, chopped 1 Tbl Tabasco sauce, original 1/4 cup flour 1/4 cup chili powder 1/2 tsp cayenne 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp cumin 1/4 tsp oregano 1 cup water 1/2 lb (dry/presoaked/cooke) or 2 cups red kidney beans, cooked/canned 1 Tbl brown sugar How Do I Make Spicy Beef n'Beans Chili? Here is how you make Spicy Beef n'Beans Chili: Makes approx 8 1-cup servings*Soak dry beans 6-8 hours and rinse thoroughly, if applicable. Bring to boil in 3 times the amount of water as there are beans, then boil gently for at least 1.5-2.5 hours (depending on desired texture) for them to use them as cooked beans in the recipe. **If starting from presoaked beans, boil for at LEAST 1 hour before starting the rest of the recipe. If beans have any grainy-ness to their internal texture, they are not fully cooked. Cooked kidney beans should have a smooth internal texture, but still be slightly firm on the outside (although many will split) with the skin attached somewhat. Overcooked beans (which some people prefer) can be mashed into a smooth paste easily, and there is very little firmness to the whole bean (some almost disintegrate into the water) and the skins will come off very easily.Note: Once the acid and salt from the rest of the food hits the beans, they will NOT get any more tender without excessive time cooking (and even then, they'll just be tolerable in texture, especially the skins), so add the ingredients ONLY when the beans are at desired texture.1--Brown beef in large pot, with lid, on medium heat. Meanwhile, chop bell pepper and onion. Drain off any liquid from beef. Rinse, if desired.2--Add chopped pepper and onion to beef. Cook until onions are transparent (about 7 min). 3--Add tomatoes and tomatoes w/chilies to beef. Stir in Tabasco sauce. Add 1 tablespoon of brown sugar to chili. Cook, uncovered, on medium heat for about 30 minutes -- stir about every ten minutes.4--Mix together flour and spices. Add 1/2 cup water to the flour, all at once, and mix until a thin, evenly blended paste is formed. Add paste to chili. Add remaining water to the paste container, stir until it is all blended, and pour into chili. Stir chili. 5--Cook chili (on medium heat) until it is gently bubbling (about 5 minutes), stirring often. Then, reduce heat to low.6--Stir the cooked beans into chili. Cover pot and cook for about 30 minutes on low heat, stirring about every 5 minutes. 7--Taste and adjust seasonings as desired. Add a little extra sugar if it is too hot.Number of Servings: 8Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user WAIT4IT.What's The Nutritional Info For Spicy Beef n'Beans Chili? The nutritional information for Spicy Beef n'Beans Chili is:
