*Bay leaves dried (serving size 1 leaf), 2 servings

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Toast walnuts while preparing the next step.Saute chopped garlic and crushed red pepper until garlic has lightly browned. Add remaining seasonings, beans.Add 1/2 of the toasted walnuts to bean mixture and puree. Add water by the tablespoon if mixture is not moist enough to blend well.After mixture has been pureed, add remaining walnuts and fold in. Scoop by the 1/4 c. and form into patties. Place on a non-stick cookie sheet or similar, bake at 350 until a crust forms (10-15 mins), turning once.
