I've based my calculations on 1.25 pounds cubed beef. How Do I Make Grumpy's Goulash? Here is how you make Grumpy's Goulash: Season your beef with the salt & pepper. Heat oil in a 5 qt. stew pot, over med-high heat. Add beef. Once browned, remove from pot & set aside. In the same pot, saute the onion until translucent & 'dirty' - approximately 5 minutes. Add in the beef, tomatoes, bay leaves, cloves, .5 cup water and vinegar. Stir well to combine ingredients.Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, partially cover w/lid & cook for 1-1/2 to 2 hours (until beef is tender). To thicken, during the last 15 minutes of cooking - combine flour with the other half cup of water to make a runny paste. Gradually add this mix into the stew until you've reached a desired consistency (can be thin to thick, its up to you). Before serving, remove bay leaves & cloves. My favorite way of serving this goulash dish, is over a pile (a cup) of fresh mashed potatoes. It also goes well over egg noodles, or may be served over rice.Makes approximately 5-6 1 cup servings (the recipe is calculated on 6 servings).Number of Servings: 6Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user RIMAJO.What's The Nutritional Info For Grumpy's Goulash? The nutritional information for Grumpy's Goulash is:
