1/2 box uncooked elbow macaroni (or your favorite pasta)
water to boil pasta
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 small onion, diced
1 tsp basil
1 tsp paprika (get smoked paprika from a spice shop if possible)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp fat free half and half
2 oz 1% milk
2 tsp honey mustard
4 slices lean honey ham
1 oz marinaded chevre (or any goat cheese)


How Do I Make Savory Ham and Macaroni?

Here is how you make Savory Ham and Macaroni:

Cook pasta for 6-8 minutes in boiling water. Drain and set aside. In a saucepan, heat oil and lightly saute onion, garlic and mushrooms. Add basil, paprika, and ham and continue to saute until the onions are soft and slightly transparent. Add mustard, milk and half and half. Bring to just a boil (do not let it boil) and add the cheese. Once the cheese is melted, mix in the pasta and cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the pasta is well coated.
