10 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
4 filets of tilapia
6 tbsp cayenne pepper (or to taste)
8 cloves of garlic
6 med to large scallions
1 - 1/2 cups Brown Rice (4 servings)
2 - 1/2 cups water
1/2 diced red pepper
1/2 diced yellow pepper
1 small freshly squeezed lemon or 1/2 large
1 small freshly squeezed lime
(lemon and lime should be close to equal parts)
3 table spoons of teriyaki sauce
1/2 cup sliced almonds (optional)


How Do I Make Hot and Tangy Tilapia?

Here is how you make Hot and Tangy Tilapia:

In a shallow pan lined with remolds wrap, drizzle it with extra virgin olive oil, place 4 filets of tilapia, sprinkle cayenne pepper to taste (or 1 tbsp per filet), on top add sliced garlic (1 clove per filet) and the all the green parts of scallions. Grill on low heat until done. Rice - measure enough for 4 servings of brown rice and add 1/2 cup extra water. Before all water has boiled away during rice prep, dice up and stir in 1/2 of red pepper, 1/2 yellow pepper, rest of sliced scallions, garlic cloves, cayenne pepper (to taste or 2 tbsp). When rice is done cooking place on simmer and stir in equal parts of freshly squeezed lemon and lime, about 2 table spoons of extra virgin olive oil and 3 table spoons of teriyaki sauce. Add almonds if desired. Turn off heat and allow mixture to cool on the burner to finish cooking, stirring once in a while. Serve tilapia over the rice mixture.
