CRUST
3 tbsp land o lakes fat free butter
1/4 cup warm water
2 1/2 tsp dry yeast
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 eagg whites
1 cup potatoes, mashed
3 1/4 flour


FILLING
1 1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 package onion soup mix
3/4 cup sauerkraut, drained
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3/4 cup water

Here is how you make Delightful Meat Pies:

Place water, sugar, yeast and salt in a mixing bowl and let stand until bubbly. Add potatoes, egg whites and softened butter, mix well. Add 1/2 the flour, mix well, add rest of flour and knead 5 minutes. Roll out dough and cut into 4-5 inch squares. Brown meat and rinse it off in hot water to wash away extra fat. Place meat back into the pan and add other ingredients. Simmer incovered until miosture is absorbed (about 20 minutes). I divide the meat evenly over the squares of rolled dough. Fold and crimp edge. Brush with glaze of egg white. Bake at 375 for 15 - 20 minutes on a vegetable-sprayed cookie sheet.
