1 1/2 cups finely chopped onions

1 teaspoon dried basil, crumbled
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves, crumbled
1 teaspoon oregano, crumbled
1 1/2 pounds ground turkey breast
1 pound Italian-style sweet sausage (chicken), casings removed
1/2 cup coursely chopped oil packed, sundried tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped flat leaf parsley
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup fine, dry bread crumbs
salt and pepper

1. In a large skillet, warm the olive oil over medium heat. Add onions, celery, garlic, basil, oregano and thyme. Cover and cook, stirring once or twice, for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.2. Position a rack in the middle of the oven and preheat over to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, sausage, the onion mixture, sun dried tomatoes, parsley, eggs, bread crumbs and salt and pepper. Mix well and transfer into a flat loaf about 2 1/2 inches thick; smooth the top of the loaf with the back of a spoon.3. Bake about 1 1/2 hours or until an instant reading thermometer inserted in the center registers 165 degrees F. Let rest on rack for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
