1 packet Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion soup mix
2 cups water
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs, plain
1/4 tsp. salt
pinch of pepper
1 1/2 lbs. of lean ground turkey (or beef, but = more cals & fat)
2 Tblsp. all purpose flour
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. yellow mustard


How Do I Make Salisbury Burgers with Onion Gravy?

Here is how you make Salisbury Burgers with Onion Gravy:

In a large measuring cup, measure out 2 cups of water and then stir in the contents of the Lipton soup mix. In a large bowl, beat egg. Add 1/3 cup of the soup water to the egg; also add the bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Add ground turkey and mix gently until combined. Shape into eight oval patties. Brown the patties in a skillet over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Remove undercooked patties from the skillet and set aside. Add flour and water to the pan drippings and stir until smooth. Add ketchup, worcestershire sauce, mustard and remaining onion soup water. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Return the patties to the skillet. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. Serve over hot egg noodles, rice or your favorite side dish. Make 8 servings.If 8 servings is too much for one meal for you, simply take out 1/2 of the gravy after it has cooked for 2 minutes. Only return 4 of the patties back to the pan to finish cooking. Put the remaining 4 patties and the 1/2 gravy into a freezer ziploc bag and freeze.
