Blanche in boiling water for 5 minutes. In a frying pan brown ground beef. Remove from heat. Drain and rinse. Add egg, rice, 10 oz. of tomato sauce, pepper, thyme, onions and salt (optional). Mix together and fill peppers. In another bowl mix the rest of the tomato sauce, lemon juice and equal (or sugar). Spoon some of this on top of the peppers. Cook at 350 for 30 - 45 minutes. With 10 minutes left spoon the rest of the tomato mixuture on top.
