4 tbsp Sour Cream, Fat Free

How Do I Make Healthy Sheppard's Pie?

Here is how you make Healthy Sheppard's Pie:

In a large skillet (or wok) over medium heat, brown turkey and beef. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Add minced garlic and cook until meat is done.While the meat cooks, put cauliflower and potato into a pot and cover by about an inch with water. Bring to a boil.Back in the meat pan, add the mirepoix (carrot, celery, onion) and season with thyme and rosemary and more salt/pepper. Reserve meat and veggie mixture to the side and in the now empty pan, add the butter, sprinkle with flour, and cook for about a minute. Whisk in chicken stock to create a thick gravy. Season with paprika, cayenne, celery salt, and white pepper. Add meat mixture back to the pan and stir in 1/2 the sour cream. Reduce to simmer for thickening.By now, the potato and cauliflower should be soft and ready to mash. Drain off water and stir in the other 1/2 of the sour cream while smashing. Season lightly with salt.In a large baking dish, add the meat mixture and spread ?caulitato? mash over mixture. Sprinkle with paprika for coloring and serve.OPTIONAL: NOT INCLUDED IN NUTRITIONAL BREAKDOWNBefore sprinkling with paprika, add some cheese.
