Whole chicken roaster or fryer
6 potatoes, cut into bite size pieces
2 onions, chopped
1 bag matchstick carrots
2 stalks celery, thin sliced
Chopped parsley


How Do I Make Pennsylvania Pot Pie?

Here is how you make Pennsylvania Pot Pie:

Combine dough ingredients, adding enough flour to make dough stiff enough to roll out. Roll very thin and let dough dry out. Takes a few hours. Dough should feel very dry and slightly hard. In the meantime, prepare soup. Place chicken, onions, parsley and salt in large pot and cover with water with 3 extra inches. Cook over medium heat until chicken is cooked through. When done, remove chicken, but retain broth. Cool chicken and remove all meat from bones. Return chicken to stock in pot.Add potatoes, carrots and celery. Simmer 20 minutes.Cut dried dough into 1 ? inch squares and add to pot.
