Benecol , Light Spread, 1 Tbsp,
Milk, 1%, 300 mL
Potato, Mashed with Butter & Milk (Homemade), 400 gram(s)
Chopped Fresh Parsley, 3 tbsp


How Do I Make Cod and Prawn Pie?

Here is how you make Cod and Prawn Pie:

Prepare mashed potatoes. Whilst potatoes are cooking, place cod in 100ml of the milk and season and poach over a medium heat until cooked but still firm - do not overcook. In a saucepan melt the butter and add flour to make a roux, gradually add the milk. Remove fish from milk and place in an oven proof dish add the liquid from the fish to the sauce and add the parsley, stir over a low heat until thickened to a pouring consistency. Add Prawns to the fish and por over the sauce. Pipe or spoon mashed potato around the edge of the dish and brush with a little melted benecol or butter. Bake in oven at 185C until potato is golden brown. For an alternative to Parsley add cheese instead but remember to calculate the extra nutritional values. You can also freeze this dish but do not bake in oven until day of eating and can be cooked either from frozen or thawed - 30 mins thawed or 45 mins frozen.
