1 1/2 lbs beef Kidney
1 1/4 beef, cubed (most cuts work well)
2 large onions chopped
3 carrots, chopped
2 beef bouillons( I used two tsp liquid beef concentrate)
1 16 oz can Guinness
3 bay leaves
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp thyme
3 tbsp olive oil
1/3 cup cornstarch
1 cup water
salt and pepper to taste
1 sheet pie crust (see my never fail pie crust recipe or you can use puff pastry)




How Do I Make Steak and Kidney Pie?

Here is how you make Steak and Kidney Pie:

Brown beef, kidney, and onion in olive oil.Add the Guinness, bouillon, bay leaves, worchestershire,thyme, salt, and pepper.Simmer for about 45 mins.Dissolve cornstarch into one cup of water and then add to beef, bringing to a boil to thicken.Preheat oven to 400 degrees.Pour beef into large baking dish and top with desired crust.Bake until golden brown.Approx. 40 mins.Number of Servings: 8Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user SERA_NINA.
