What Are The Ingredients For Sweet Potato Sheppard's Pie Recipe?The ingredients for Sweet Potato Sheppard's Pie are: 2 large sweet potatoes8 oz lean ground turkey breast 2 tsp olive oil 1/4 large onion, diced 1 large carrot, diced 8 medium mushrooms, diced 1/2 cup frozen corn 1/2 cup frozen peas 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth 1 tbsp flour salt/pepper to taste 1/2 tsp sage 1/2 tsp ground netmeg How Do I Make Sweet Potato Sheppard's Pie?Here is how you make Sweet Potato Sheppard's Pie: Preheat oven to 325 degrees.Peel the sweet potatoes and chop into chunks. Add to boiling water and boil until fork tender.At the same time, over medium heat, saute the onions, celery, carrot and mushrooms until soft, then add ground turkey and 1/2 tsp sage and salt and pepper. Cook all the way through. Once the turkey is cooked, sprinkle with the flour and continue heating for a minute then add broth and cook until broth comes to a gravy like consistency. Add frozen corn and peas, stir and just heat through.When ready, remove sweet potatoes from water and mash in a bowl. Add ground nutmeg and salt and pepper.Have two oven safe ramekins ready, split the turkey mixture between both. Split the mashed sweet potatoes between both by topping the turkey mixture with the sweet potatoes.Place ramekins on cookie sheet and put into 325 degree oven.
