3 cups prepared Instant Brown Rice
Cooking Spray
4 tbsp Shallots, chopped
2 cloves Garlic, crushed
1 cup Bean sprouts
2 cup Kale, chopped
1 cup, Swanson Chicken Broth 99% Fat Free
1 tbsp Salt
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp Onion powder


How Do I Make Brown Rice w/ Kale and Bean Sprouts?

Here is how you make Brown Rice w/ Kale and Bean Sprouts:

Prepare instant brown rice as directed (I like using the Success boil-in-bag which yeilds 3 cups). While rice is boiling, spray non-stick skillet with cooking oil (canola or olive oil). Add crushed garlic and shallots to saute for approx. 2 mins. Add kale and bean spouts, stirring with garlic and shallots for a couple of more minutes. Pour in broth (can use vegetable instead of chicken), cover, and let cook until almost all the liquid is gone. Drain water from rice. Add rice to skillet, mixing with kale and sprouts. Season with salt, pepper and onion powder to taste. Continue to cook uncovered until all liquid is gone, stirring occassionally.
