1 tsp. Thyme fresh or 1/2 tsp. dried
1/3 C Cider Vinegar
1/4 C Brown sugar
1 C Canned diced tomatoes, drained
1 tsp. Better Than Bouillon Beef Base
1 1/2 C Beef broth low sodium
1/4 tsp. Black Pepper
1/4 tsp. Cayenne Pepper (Can be omitted)

Here is how you make Beef with Piquante Sauce:

Heat on medium heat 1/2 TBS. Olive Oil in non-stick skillet, Lightly brown cubes of beef. In second skillet on medium heat at 1/2 TBS Olive Oil and saute onions, garlic, peppers, carrots and celery 3-5 minutes until slightly soft. Place meat and vegetables in a quart size casserole dish. Add remaining ingredients, Cover tightly and bake in 250 degree oven for 2-21/2 hours until meat istender.
