2 Lbs of Venison or Lean Steaks
2 Cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup
2 C 1% Milk
2 to 3 t Mustard
1/2 C Flour
Salt and Pepper to Taste


How Do I Make Venison or Beef in Mushroom Sauce?

Here is how you make Venison or Beef in Mushroom Sauce:

First I take two cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup and empty it into a large crockpot turned on low and take 2 cups of milk and 2 to 3 t mustard and mix all together. Then I take a large skillet and put the oil in and turn it on Med High and then take the flour and add salt and pepper to it and roll the steaks that you have cut in 3 oz portions(approx.) and fry them for a few minutes in the pan. It doesnt have to be cooked fully because the crockpot will finish cooking them. Put all the steaks in the crock and let it cook at a minimum of 2 to 3 hours and if you want you can cook it all day like me and by the time you are ready to eat the steaks will be fork tender. Also if the gravy is little thin you can scoop out some, put it in a bowl and add a little flour or corn starch to it, mix up, and return to the crock and stir.Serving size: 1 3oz steak and about 1/4 C Gravy 10 Serving Approx.Number of Servings: 10Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user BRENNA_JOYS.
