Add all ingredients to large sauce pan or dutch oven. Fill empty tomato sauce can with water and add that to the mixture. Stir until combined. Lumps of tomato paste are okay, they will break up during cooking. Heat on high until boiling. Reduce heat to low and simmer at least 2 hours. Makes 8 1/2-cup servings. Serve over whole wheat pasta.
