Bread dough - 1 loaf
Sausage - 1/2 lb.
Mozzarella Cheese - 8 oz.
Fresh Spinach - 10 oz package (don't use canned or frozen)


How Do I Make Sausage Loaf?

Here is how you make Sausage Loaf:

Prepare your choice of bread dough, (I have made it from scratch or purchased frozen dough and they are both equally good.)Pre-heat over to 375 degrees.Brown sausage. Shred mozzarella. Wash and dry spinach. Roll the dough out into a 13 x 9 inch rectangle. Leaving about a 1 inch border around the edges of the bread dough, spread the sausage on the bread dough, then spread the spinach then the cheese. Fold the ends of the bread dough over the layered ingredients. Fold the sides over so they meet and pinch the entire length closed. Roll the loaf over so the seam-side is facing down and move it to a flat baking pan (I use a jelly roll pan or a cookie sheet.) Brush the top with an egg white/water wash.
