12 oz Andouille Sausage or any spicy smoked sausage
2.5 tbsp paprika
1.5 tbsp ground cumin
1 tsp cayenne pepper
.5 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tomato diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
2 ribs celery chopped
4 green onion, thin sliced
1 c brown rice
4 c chicken broth
1 lb shrimp


How Do I Make Sausage and Shrimp Jambalaya?

Here is how you make Sausage and Shrimp Jambalaya:

In a large pot with a lid, melt butter over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook about 5 min. Then add paprika, cumin, cayenne, black pepper and salt. Mix to cover sausage and saute 1 minute. Next, add tomatoes. Cook, stirring , until liquid evaporates. Add bell pepper, celery, and green onions (save some for garnish); cook 5 min. Stir in rice and mix well. Add stock and turn heat to high, and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat, cover pot, and cook about 10 min (or more depending on rice). Remove lid, check to see if rice is tender.
