How Do I Make Slum Gullion (Okay - scalloped poultry)?

Here is how you make Slum Gullion (Okay - scalloped poultry):

Thin the gravy with the water so you have 2 cups total.Layer the bottom of a deep casserole dish with toast.Follow with a layer of chicken. Repeat layers until you run out of toast and chicken.Pour gravy over the top. Sometimes you may have to use a knife to make sure the gravy goes all the way to the bottom. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, until the top is golden brown. You can also layer in some spiced if you like, without changing the calories. I usually sprinkle a little sage and some onion powder on each layer of meat. The other option I have used with good result is to add a layer of leftover stuffing to the mix. That is not included in the calories, so count it as extra.Serve with a steamed veg or salad and you've got a full meal.Number of Servings: 6Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user LEAKAY59.
