4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 medium onion ,finely chopped
2 ribs celery, finely chopped
1 green bell pepper, seeded & finely chopped
4-5 springs fresh thyme
salt and black pepper, to taste
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1-2 T. Hot sauce, divided
2 T. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. beer
1 c. chicken stock
1 (14 oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 c. chopped frozen okra
2 lb shrimp


How Do I Make Creole Shrimp and Grits?

Here is how you make Creole Shrimp and Grits:

Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. add oliv oil and butter. When butter melts into olive oil, add garlic, onion, celery, bell pepper, thyme, plus salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 7-8 minutes until vegetables are tender. Add Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and flour, cook for 1 minute then add beer and cook off about 30 seconds.whisk in chicken broth, add tomatoes and okra and bring to a bubble.
