1 red onion, chopped
1-2 green bell peppers, chopped
1 clove of garlic, chopped
1/2 box whole wheat penne
4 tbsp butter, unsalted
1 tbsp of creole seasoning (I use Tony's)
1 cup of water (reserve from pasta)

Here is how you make Cajun Shrimp Penne:

Bring a pot of water, lightly salted, to a boil. Cook penne per directions on box. Drain but reserve about a cup of pasta water.Melt 2tbsp butter in a pan. Add chopped peppers and onions. Saute until brown and soft. Add 1 tbsp butter allow to melt. Add garlic. Stir for about 1 min. Season then add shrimp. Saute until shrimp are pink (about 3-5 minutes). Add about 2tbsp water from pasta to deglaze pan. Add up to one cup of water to finish loosening up the bits on the bottom of the pan. Add penne to shrimp, onions, peppers. Stir until well combined and heated through.Serving Size:?4-6
